Vacuum Furnaces · FL-VIM
Melting and casting under vacuum or inert atmosphere from 5 kg to 2 tons, for nickel superalloys, titanium alloys, magnetic alloys and clean specialty steels.
Vacuum induction melting is specified when the alloy contains elements that oxidise readily — aluminium, titanium, rare earths — or when dissolved hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen must be driven out of the melt. Under high vacuum these gases evolve from the bath and are pumped away, and the resulting ingot is measurably cleaner on inclusion count.
The furnace comprises a water-cooled vacuum chamber, an induction coil and crucible, a tilting pour mechanism, a mould chamber with an isolation valve for charging without breaking vacuum, and a pumping set of mechanical, roots and diffusion or turbo pumps sized to your cycle.
Typical users are aerospace and gas turbine alloy producers, magnetic and precision alloy makers, and specialty steel plants producing bearing and tool steel to tight cleanliness specifications.
