Induction Aluminium Melting and Holding Furnace (GWL Series)

Low-frequency induction furnace tuned for aluminium and its alloys, with gentle stirring, low burn-off and a holding mode for die-casting lines.

  • Frequency and power curve profiled for aluminium, not adapted from steel
  • Controlled electromagnetic stirring — homogeneous bath, no oxide entrainment
  • Holding mode within ±5 °C for die-casting and continuous casting
  • Lower metal loss than a fuel-fired reverberatory furnace on the same charge
  • Optional degassing port and skimming platform

Model & Technical Parameters

Standard models below. Capacity, power and frequency are matched to your alloy, output and grid at the quotation stage — non-standard ratings are built to order.

Technical values require confirmation against the final equipment configuration. Rates are measured on clean aluminium ingot. Melting scrap, turnings or painted material reduces throughput and increases metal loss.

Product Details

Aluminium melts at around 660 °C and oxidises readily, so the melting recipe is the opposite of steel: lower frequency, lower power density, and controlled electromagnetic stirring that homogenises the bath without dragging oxide skin into the melt.

The GWL series runs at 150–500 Hz with a power curve profiled for aluminium, which typically holds metal loss well below what a fuel-fired reverberatory furnace produces on the same charge. A holding mode maintains bath temperature within ±5 °C, which is what a die-casting cell needs between shots.

Available as a melting furnace, a holding furnace, or a melt-and-hold pair sharing one power supply. Tilting or bottom-tapping discharge to suit your ladle or launder arrangement.
